Case Study: Speed of Service

The Challenge:

A major Industrial customer had a proto-type project and needed light cable assembly completed within 48 hours to complete the overall project. Their in-house team was not able to complete the prototype. The in-house team quoted 14 days which would have stalled the critical project past the deadline.

This customer had been working with Action for 7 years and had come to rely on our Customer 1 service commitment. This customer partners with Action for Procurement, Kitting and Custom Delivery Systems to their final production line, but had never engaged Action for light cable work.

Action was contacted and a request was made for us to complete the job that they could not complete in house. The short timeline request was made with the understanding that it was unrealistic in such a short time frame.

The Solution:

Doing what others cannot.Action’s staff was placed on double shift and completed the assembly and cable testing in two days, delivering the final cable grouping to the production line as requested. The fast turn around allowed the proto-type to go through final engineering and enabled test
manufacturing to continue without scheduled interruption or lost labor downtime.
